Soft Wash across Devon
Soft washing is the technique behind most of our other services — it's the safe way to clean roofs, renders, fascias and any surface where high-pressure cleaning would do more harm than good. We offer it as a standalone service where the brief is preserve-and-treat rather than scour.

The Moore & Franks approach
A soft-wash system applies a biodegradable biocide at low pressure, lets it dwell, then rinses. The chemistry does the work, not brute force. It's the gentlest exterior cleaning method available and the only one we'll use on roofs, modern renders, listed buildings or anywhere kit-on-substrate would be a problem.
Common uses: render and pebbledash, conservatory roofs, painted timber and uPVC, garden walls, headstones and stonework, listed buildings, and any surface where the customer has been quoted a pressure wash and worried about damage.
A clear, repeatable process.
No surprises, no upsells. The same method every job — that's how you get the same result every time.

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to the questions we get asked the most. If yours isn't here, drop us a line — we reply same day.
Pressure washing relies on water force; soft washing relies on chemistry. For roofs, render and any delicate substrate, soft wash is the only correct method. Pressure washing has its place — driveways, patios, paths — but not on vertical or pitched surfaces.
We use biodegradable, commercial-approved biocides and sheet plants where needed. Pets are kept inside during application and the treatment is dry within hours.
