The Moore & Franks approach

Pure-water-fed-pole is the only window cleaning method we use, and the only one we'd recommend for properties in Devon's climate. Mains water is filtered through a four-stage deioniser — carbon, reverse-osmosis, resin and final polish — until the total-dissolved-solids reading is zero. That water is then pumped up a carbon-fibre pole to a brush head, agitates the glass, and rinses clear. Because there's nothing dissolved in the water, it dries spot-free. No squeegee marks, no chemical film, no hard-water deposits left at the corners.

Every clean includes the frames, sills and door surrounds — not just the glass. uPVC, painted timber and aluminium frames all benefit from the same fed-pole treatment, and on most properties the frames are dirtier than the glass anyway. Cleaning glass while leaving green-tinged sills behind is something we won't quote for; a clean frame and sill is what protects our name on the kerb, so the whole opening gets done.

We work from ground level via extendable poles up to four storeys — no ladders propped against your render, no boots on your conservatory roof, no risk-assessment headaches for commercial premises. For taller blocks, listed buildings or restricted-access glass we'll specify a tower or rope-access team on the quote.

Conservatory roof and glass cleaning is a natural premium add-on — built up sap, lichen and atmospheric grime that domestic squeegees won't shift comes off cleanly with the fed-pole system at low pressure. We'll quote the conservatory alongside the windows on the same visit.

Frequency options: one-off seasonal clean, quarterly maintenance (most popular for Devon residential), or monthly commercial schedules for shopfronts, offices and care homes. Recurring customers go on a managed schedule and we come back automatically — no chasing, no booking calls, fixed price per visit agreed upfront.

How it works

A clear, repeatable process.

No surprises, no upsells. The same method every job — that's how you get the same result every time.

  1. 01

    Survey & quote

Quick site visit or photos by email. We confirm window count, access, frame condition and any conservatory glass before quoting a fixed per-visit price.

  2. 02

    Pure water prep

Mains water filtered on the van through carbon, reverse-osmosis and resin stages to zero total-dissolved-solids — the only state in which water dries spot-free.

  3. 03

    Fed-pole clean

Carbon-fibre pole and brush head agitate the glass, frames, sills and door panels. Pure water rinses clear and dries to a streak-free finish.

  4. 04

    Conservatory & extras

Conservatory roof glass, polycarbonate and finials cleaned as a same-visit add-on where specified.

  5. 05

    Scheduled return

Recurring customers go straight onto a quarterly or monthly schedule — we come back automatically without booking calls.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to the questions we get asked the most. If yours isn't here, drop us a line — we reply same day.

Residential window cleans start from £15 + VAT, and frames and sills are always included at no extra cost. Conservatory roofs are £50, £70 or £90 + VAT for small, medium and large. Commercial premises and one-off deep cleans are quoted on inspection — every quote is fixed in writing before we start.

It's the industry-standard method for professional window cleaning. Water is filtered to zero dissolved solids — pure H₂O — then pumped up a carbon-fibre pole to a brush head. The water agitates and rinses the glass simultaneously, and because there's nothing dissolved in it, it dries spot-free. No chemicals, no squeegee, no ladders.

Yes — always. Every visit cleans glass, frames, sills and door panels in the same pass. We won't quote for glass-only — frames are usually dirtier than the glass and leaving them is a half-job.

Most Devon residential customers go quarterly. Coastal properties (Exmouth, Dawlish, Sidmouth) often prefer 6–8 weekly because salt builds up fast. Shopfronts and offices are typically monthly. We'll recommend a schedule on the quote and you can flex it later.

Yes — conservatory glass, polycarbonate roof panels and finials all come up cleanly using the fed-pole system at low pressure. It's a premium add-on quoted alongside the windows on the same visit.

Solar panel cleaning is a separate service we offer — starts from £7 + VAT per panel and pairs naturally with a window or roof clean when we're already on site.

Yes — £5,000,000 public liability, fully insured, 25 years operating across Devon. Documentation provided on request for commercial customers.

No. We work entirely from outside the property. If you'd like the inside cleaned we'll arrange that separately by appointment — most customers find the pure-water exterior clean is enough on its own.
