The Moore & Franks approach in Plymouth
Plymouth is a big maritime city, from the Hoe's grand terraces and the rebuilt city centre to sprawling estates at Plympton, Plymstock and Crownhill. Sea air rolls in off the Sound and the Tamar, salting glass on the exposed waterfront frontages while traffic film dulls the inner-city streets. We cover the lot with pure-water reach poles that clean upper windows safely from the ground and leave no streaks behind, frames and sills included. As a Devon family firm with twenty-five years behind us and £5m insurance, we bring proper, reliable service to a city this size without losing the personal touch you'd want from a local outfit.
A fair slice of our Plymouth work is for landlords and letting agents, especially around the student streets of Mutley and North Hill. Rental and shared houses there get neglected between tenancies, and a quick, reliable exterior clean between changeovers keeps the properties presentable and the agents happy. We work from outside, bill remotely and can do a run of addresses in one visit, which suits anyone managing a portfolio across the city.
The city keeps us busy with commercial glass too, from shopfronts near the centre to offices and cafes around the Barbican and Hoe. Waterfront premises copping salt off the Sound want a shorter, more frequent schedule than inland ones, and we run those on a managed monthly or six-weekly round at a fixed price per visit. Working early keeps us clear of the crowds along the Barbican and the seafront.
Out in the suburbs the picture changes: the tree-lined Victorian avenues of Mutley and Peverell fill sills and conservatory roofs with leaf litter, while the Plymstock and Plympton estates run to bigger modern glazing and solar. Conservatory roofs come up off the pole at low pressure, priced by size, from £50 + VAT to £90 + VAT, and panels are £7 + VAT each in the same visit. One set-up covers windows, conservatory and array.
Our Plymouth customers are typically within 1 hour of our Exeter base. We cover the wider PL1, PL2, PL3, PL4, PL5, PL6, PL7 postcode area and the surrounding villages (Plymouth Hoe, The Barbican, Devonport, Mutley & Mannamead, Plymstock, Plympton St Maurice).
A clear, repeatable process.
No surprises, no upsells. The same method every job — that's how you get the same result every time.

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to the questions we get asked the most. If yours isn't here, drop us a line — we reply same day.
Cleans start at £15 + VAT with frames and sills included every visit. In Plymouth exposure and size drive the price: a waterfront property taking salt off the Sound often wants a shorter round, and a larger suburban house has more glass than a city terrace, but every quote is fixed in writing first.
Right across the city, from the Hoe and the Barbican through Mutley, Mannamead and Peverell out to Plymstock, Plympton and Crownhill. It spans PL1 to PL7, and even at an hour from our Topsham base there is no separate travel charge on a booked round.
Yes. Deionised water dissolves salt film and lifts atmospheric soot, rinsing both clean off the glass rather than smearing them. It dries with nothing dissolved in it, so the panes finish spotless. On Plymouth's exposed Barbican and Hoe frontages a regular round keeps that finish holding.
Send the address or a few photos and we reply the same day with a fixed written price. We work weekdays, eight until five, and set homes and premises up one-off or on a managed round. Quotes are free and there is nothing to pay until the work is done.
