Pressure Washing in Exeter
Driveways, patios, decking and more brought back to life with controlled-pressure jet washing. We work all over Exeter and the surrounding Devon area — St Leonard's, Heavitree, Pinhoe and the towns between.

The Moore & Franks approach in Exeter
Exeter's mix of Victorian terraces, red-brick semis and newer estates out toward Pinhoe and Cranbrook means a lot of driveways, patios and paths that take a beating from foot traffic, cars and Devon rain. Block paving and Indian sandstone hold moss and algae fast in our damp climate, and a green, slippery drive is a real hazard come autumn. Moore & Franks are based just down the road at our Ferryman Way base in Topsham, so Exeter is home turf. We bring proper commercial gear and 25 years of knowing how to lift dirt without blowing out your jointing sand or scarring the stone. Family-run, fully insured, and we leave the surface looking like new.
Across Exeter's neighbourhoods we clean far more than the odd driveway. Wraparound decking behind the Heavitree semis, garden furniture and astroturf lawns in the smaller St Leonard's yards, and the paved seating outside cafes and shops near the Quay all pass through the same booking sheet. Graffiti clearance is a regular call in the city too, from a tagged garage door to a shutter on a commercial unit. Whatever the surface, we set the pressure to suit it rather than treating everything the same.
The city's newer estates change the job as they age. Pattern-imprinted concrete and porous stone slabs laid a decade ago at Newcourt and Monkerton lose their sealant and start trapping green growth in every joint. Older Exeter stock is different again: soft red Heavitree breccia in garden walls and steps won't take a heavy blast, so we drop to a gentler setting or soft wash it. Getting that call right is the difference between lifting the dirt and leaving a permanent scar.
Once a surface is clean we can talk about keeping it that way. In the damp Exe valley air an untreated north-facing patio greens over again within a season, so an optional biocide top-coat applied after washing slows the regrowth right down. Access is rarely a problem in Exeter, but on the tighter Newtown and West Street terraces we run hoses carefully through the house to reach an enclosed back yard and leave the place spotless. We work Monday to Friday and reply the same day.
Our Exeter customers are right on our doorstep. We cover the wider EX1, EX2, EX3, EX4, EX5 postcode area and the surrounding villages (St Leonard's, Heavitree, Pinhoe, Topsham, Pennsylvania, Exeter Quay).
A clear, repeatable process.
No surprises, no upsells. The same method every job — that's how you get the same result every time.

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to the questions we get asked the most. If yours isn't here, drop us a line — we reply same day.
Pressure washing starts at £80 + VAT, and the final figure depends mostly on the area and the surface. A standard block or concrete drive in Heavitree or St Thomas usually sits near that starting point, while a large patio-and-path combination, or a badly weed-bound stone terrace, takes longer and costs a little more. Every quote is free and in writing.
All of it, EX1 to EX5. We regularly work the terraces of St Leonard's and Newtown, the semis around Heavitree and Pinhoe, the Quay and city-centre commercial frontages, and the newer estates at Cranbrook and Newcourt. Being based nearby in Topsham, we are across the city and its villages regularly.
Not when the pressure is matched to the material. Robust block paving and concrete take full power, but soft Heavitree breccia and porous natural stone need a lighter touch or a soft wash. We survey each surface first and pick the method that clears the growth without pitting or etching the finish.
Send a few photos and a rough idea of the area through the website or over the phone and we will give you a free written quote, usually the same day. We work Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, and being a Topsham family firm, Exeter jobs are quick for us to fit in.
