Solar Panel Cleaning in Torquay
Keep your panels efficient with careful PV cleaning, roof-mounted or ground-mounted. We work all over Torquay and the surrounding Devon area — Babbacombe & Oddicombe Beach, Cockington Village, St Marychurch and the towns between.

The Moore & Franks approach in Torquay
Torquay's palm-lined hills and seafront make it the heart of the English Riviera, but the same sunny, salty coastal climate that draws the crowds works against your solar panels. Sea spray drifts up over the harbour and Babbacombe, salt settles on south-facing roofs, and the gulls do the rest. Left uncleaned, that film steadily scatters the abundant sunshine this coast is known for. We're a family-run Devon business, 25 years in, and we clean using purified water through soft brushes, all from the ground. No detergents, no roof access, no risk. Your panels come back clear and pull in every bit of that Riviera sun you bought them for.
The grand Victorian and Edwardian villas around the Warberries, Lincombe and Wellswood carry big slate and clay roofs, often heavily shaded by mature trees, and moss establishes fast on their north-facing pitches. Any solar array up there loses ground on two fronts, the shade and the growth washing down from above. Because we clean from below on poles, even the largest of these roofs is worked panel by panel without a boot going near the slate.
The town's steep, tiered streets, stacked up the hillsides above the harbour, make ladder work genuinely hazardous, yet the panels still need reaching. This is where a ground-fed pole earns its keep: we set up on firm ground below and reach the array from there, whatever the drop or the angle of the plot. The pebble-dashed and painted terraces around Ellacombe and Upton, which weather quickly in the coastal damp, are handled the same safe way.
Sea fret keeps rebuilding a salt haze on Torquay glass through the year, so panels here rarely stay clear for long without upkeep. An annual clean is usually about right on this coast, and because so many homes have sea-view conservatories and balcony glazing catching the same spray, we can bring the windows and the panels back to clear in one visit. Clean glass all round, no salt film scattering the light.

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to the questions we get asked the most. If yours isn't here, drop us a line — we reply same day.
The rate is £7 + VAT per panel, quoted in writing first. On the steep, tiered plots common in Torquay the setup can take a little longer to reach an array safely, but the height and access never change the per-panel price.
The whole of TQ1 and TQ2, from Babbacombe, St Marychurch and Wellswood down through Ellacombe and Upton to Chelston, Shiphay and out to Cockington. Torre Abbey and the streets above the harbour are all within our round.
Yes. Our carbon-fibre poles are made for exactly this: reaching high or awkward arrays from solid ground below, so no one has to work off a ladder on a sloping Torquay plot. Pure water and a soft head then clean the glass with nothing abrasive touching it.
Send a message or ring the office and we will reply the same day with a free quote. We are a father-and-son team working weekdays, and although Torquay is toward our southern edge, a Riviera panel clean is usually booked within a week or two.
